Officers responding to a single-vehicle crash on the 600 block of Market Street around 8 p.m. Monday Feb. 5, found three adults and a small child in the car, Oxford police said.

Llenifer Ayllon, 24, of West Grove, and Robert Jimenez, 24, of Toughkenamon, were among the adults in the car, police said.

Officers soon discovered that a backpack had been removed from the vehicle before police arrived. With help from one of the witnesses, officers were able to locate the item in the driveway of a nearby home.

Ayllon and Jimenez were taken into custody and seen trying to conceal items from the backpack, which included a loaded firearm. A search of the suspects and the backpack turned a variety of narcotics and contraband, police said.

Both men were taken to the Oxford Police Department, where they were interviewed and processed before being transported by Constables to Chester County Prison.

Ayllon and Jimenez were both arraigned and failed to post a $50,000 and $25,000 cash bail, respectively. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for both subjects for February, 13, 2024 at the Oxford District Court.
